Our Team
The team of men that are responsible for putting on this weekend; this four day journey of breakthrough, healing and restoration through Jesus Christ, is a team of men that have walked together in this message for several years. The mission of True Pursuit is to rescue the hearts of men and to help them move closer to freedom in Christ. Each one of the team members not only desires this for other men but have also been the recipients of our mission. One of the principles that we hold to as a team is that we will not offer to others what we have not lived out in our own lives. The stories and responses throughout the entire weekend are the true stories from the men on the True Pursuit team.
Please join us at one of our True Pursuit weekends and experience first hand what we all have experienced and are passionate about sharing with you.

The Weekend Presenting Team
Pete Emhoff is the founder and director of True Pursuit, Inc and the main presenter for the True Pursuit Weekend. He lives in Dexter, MI with my wife Patty and Golden Retriever Scout. Pete and Patty celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary last November and they are enjoying this stage of life as much as any other. Pete has two married children (Matt & Shari / Liz & John) and on January 12th, 2012 Liz and John had a beautiful baby boy named Noah David Grandy, making Pete & Patty first time grandparents. In September of 2005 after hearing God say to him, “you will be the rescuer of men’s hearts” Pete followed the leading & prompting of the Holy Spirit and left his long time position as Area Director for Young Life in southeastern Michigan to start True Pursuit. The first True Pursuit Weekend was in April of 2008…it was born out of a desire to have a shared mission with the men that Pete lives in community with (his Band of Brothers) and a deep desire for many more men to hear the message of breakthrough, healing and restoration. Pete’s own journey of healing and restoration started at a Wild at Heart Boot Camp in 2003. The message of Wild at Heart has had an incredible impact on Pete, his intimacy with Jesus, his marriage, his relationships with his children and in his life’s mission. The True Pursuit Weekend’s are patterned after the WAH Boot Camps for one reason…”we have never seen any other event or heard any other message that so powerfully offers a man “irreversible change” in his life, walk and calling.”
Mark Freier lives in Howell with his best friend and wife Deb, celebrating 33 years of marriage. They have three children and a daughter-in-law (Anne, Katie, Nathan & Angela). He is president and founder of Whatif Enterprises, LLC; serving as a personal and executive coach whose passion is to create environments and meaningful processes for people to maximize their potential. Mark grew up as a “pastor’s kid” and was educated in a parochial system that also fashioned his twenty-two year career path as a pastor. Even though Mark participated in various ministry opportunities, including teaching and training others, his heart longed for something more; something deeper. In 1994, Mark began a quest for intimacy with God – which led him on quite a journey. Mark willingly shares his story as he was challenged with the reality of being a “poser” and the horrible impact that had on his family and career. In 2004, Mark began to learn to walk in freedom as the Spirit of God awakened his true desires and clarified God’s call on his life: supporting and inspiring others on their journey.
Patrick Davidson lives in Livonia with his wife of nearly 14 years and his three daughters (ages 11, 9 and 7). He works in the engineering and manufacturing industry as an organizational leader. Patrick has been working with True Pursuit since 2008, and has been on the board of directors since 2009. One of Patrick’s core desires is leading groups of people to get results they never thought possible. Patrick’s story is one of the long and sustained assault against his heart and his marriage. His addiction to pornography began when he was in his early teens and continued right into his marriage. After beginning this journey of healing, restoration and freedom it became harder to attack Patrick directly, so the enemy set after his wife and his marriage. Rescuing the heart of his beauty, and of those of his three girls, has become his mission. It is a journey that has had moments of tremendous triumph and intense pain. Through it all, he continues to walk with Jesus and learn to do life as He would have Patrick live it.
